"Sue Thomas F.B.Eye" brought to the audience a couple of weeks ago a great episode that brought to life the story of the deaf in the Holocaust. When people think of the Holocaust most think of what happened to the Jews, and they should be remembered. The problem is so many people only remember their persecution.

Sue Thomas, a tv show about a deaf woman who works for the FBI and based on the true story of Sue Thomas, brings to people's eye what happened to those considered "deformed." The mentally challenged, deaf, blind, 1 armed man, etc. were persecuted by the Germans. You had less chance of surviving if you were considered "deformed" then if you were Jewish.

In the episode, "Holocaust Survivor," a woman living in Washinton D.C. who survived the Holocaust sees one of her SS men from the concentration camp wondering around the city. Her story is told over time of the episode. As she heart-wrenchingly tells the story of what happened to her family, you are reminded of the horrors of what happened. The only reason why her family was killed was because they were related to a deaf woman.
